MARY JEAN PIERCE Mary Jean (Black) Pierce took a journey with Jesus to heaven on July 25, 2010. She was born October 28, 1927 in Ashland to John W. and Florence (DeVore) Black of Englewood, Kansas. Survivors include her children, Susan Drummond and her husband Tony of Minneapolis and Shawn Pierce and his wife Sherry of New Cambria; and her son-in-law, Leighton Kawai of Waiane, Hawaii. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 29, at Wilson Shields Funeral Home.
