Lions punch ticket to state The Minneapolis Lions competed in the Class 3A Beloit Sub-state this past week. The boys held the one seed. They defeated Ellsworth 43-26 in the first round, beat Hoisington 40-29 in the semifinals and downed Beloit 54-51 in the championship game. The Lions, seeded #6 at State, will play #3 seed Kismet-SW Heights at 4:45 on Wednesday, March 11 in Hutchinson. If they win, the Lions will play on Friday at 4:45 against the winner of the Galena-P.V.-KC-Christian game. BHS ends season at sub-state The Bennington High School Bulldogs defeated Rock Hills 43-40 on March 2.
