![]() Cleo and Roxanne Simoneau share some recycling facts during a presentation at the Good Samaritan Society Minneapolis. Simoneaus encourage recycling Cleo Simoneau took over the operation of the Minneapolis recycling center this past June and immediately increased the hours the center is open to the public. The additional hours have resulted in more people using the center. In addition, he sought the assistance of his wife, Roxanne, to help at the center. "I absolutely love it," she says. "I feel we're doing something good." Roxanne does a lot of walking and now takes a plastic bag with her to pick up recyclables. She comments that she's amazed how much she can pick up on the same path from one day to the next. She and Cleo go for walks together and have decided once in a while they can leave the litterbag at home. The Simoneaus recently spoke at a public meeting at the Good Samaritan Society Minneapolis and shared that it really is easy to recycle. "It takes a little bit of work, but we encourage people to start slowly," Cleo said. "Items like papers, magazines and plastic bottles are easy to save for recycling. Most of the time, once people begin to recycle, they increase the items they bring to the center."
